How do I change the Sample Rate of my iConnectivity interface?

iConnectivity interfaces are preset to a Sample Rate of 44.1 kHz by default, as this is the format that most people will be using if they are recording music (CD standard).

Other common standards include 48 kHz, which mainly used for video production, and 96 kHz used for so-called hi-resolution recordings.

To change your iConnectivity audio interface to use a different Sample Rate:
  1. Open Auracle and select your interface on the front panel
  2. Click on the Settings (gear) icon on the top right of the screen
  3. Choose the Sample Rate you wish to use
  4. Click on Save Changes
  5. Both Auracle and your interface will now restart in order to apply the new Sample Rate - this may take a minute, so don't panic. If Auracle does not restart automatically, it is safe to restart it manually.
Note that if you change to a Sample Rate higher than 48 kHz both your computer and the interface will have to work twice as hard to perform the same job, so choosing one of the "hi-resolution" options may result in you being able to use fewer plugins and having less tracks.

Also note that although you can choose to change the Bit Depth using this Audio Settings panel, generally you should leave this at 24 bit - there are very few situation where any other option is actually useful.
